From inside the igloo

She wants to go out

Maybe to the café for a latte

But money is tight

Plus it's laundry day

She loads up then goes out

Puts a bunch of coins into the mouth of a machine

Later she does the same routine to sacrifice to the god of caffeine

Then stands around thinking about

this guy she knows

He's seen her without any clothes

It's been a while though

And she can feel it below

Because time is tight

Now she is too

She puts up a fight

But memories come back of what she's gone through

They bring a frown to her face

Or is it just the cold of this place

She might as well be in an igloo

Leaning on a counter thinking

about this guy she knew

About how they used to spend their nights

Watching movies or having each other

He was such an ardent lover

Even when he did not share the cover

Oh, the things they'd get up to in that old bed

Just thinking about it turns her cheeks bright red

As pictures of him flicker in her head

She'd rather be in his arms instead

of this igloo

with three loads left to do
