Aftermath of Unsaid Words

Wish we parted on better terms

Wish we never parted at all

Will we ever learn

To catch the other before a slip becomes a fall

Still time teaches

But it won't heal the breaches

From your invading army disguised as clever words sent to kill my peaceful kingdom

Our war had no victor

But you took hearts for ransom

Pay the artist to paint a clever picture

Of what went down here

Now that all that's left is aftermath and unsaid words

Because in the end, a battlefield is just a feast for birds
